Product Specialist


MITS seeks a Product Specialist to join the company's Professional Services team. The Product Specialist will install MITS software on customer servers within a multi-value database environment, develop custom business intelligence solutions for individual clients, troubleshoot hypercube builds, and help customers with queries. This position will report to the Professional Services Manager from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the MITS main offices in Seattle, WA.

Skills Required
  • Knowledge of Unix and Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of Multi-Value database administration and programming
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and client protocols
  • Ability to read and analyze general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, statements of work and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and employees
  • Ability to perform a variety of assignments requiring the exercise of independent judgment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, successfully meeting schedules and deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment with a smile and sense of humor
Responsibilities
  • Interpret customer business requirements and resources to determine the best configuration of MITS software
  • Install and configure MITS software on customer servers
  • Investigate problems with MITS hypercube builds and balancing issues
  • Create specifications and estimate time requirements for custom work
  • Provide remote and on-site support and training for end users
  • Keep abreast of new related technologies and advancements
  • Work effectively with clients and internal peers
  • Adhere to company confidentiality policy
Experience/Education
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with Eclipse and/or Prelude applications a plus
  • Experience with HTML, Javascript and browser technologies a plus
  • Windows NT and/or AIX certification a plus
